When we first arrived on the island, we spent ten weeks conducting a research project at the local hospital. During this time, we had the opportunity to meet many healthcare workers and build strong relationships with the hospital administrator and director. Since then, we’ve continued to work closely with them, establishing a meaningful and collaborative connection. This relationship is valuable to us, as it provides crucial insights into the gaps and needs within the healthcare system, and helps us identify ways we can work together to strengthen it.

In November 2024, we donated the first portable AED to the hospital. Along with the donation, we conducted a refresher course for the hospital staff on how to use the device effectively.

Additionally, Anibal, the hospital administrator, is a member of our advisory board, offering valuable input and guidance. Right now, we’re excited to be working together on a new project set to launch in the third quarter of 2025—something we’re all looking forward to.
